As Cate gets old, she'll hear our "First-Date Day" story more times than she'll probably care to! Greg and I went out for ice cream at Baskin-Robbins on Valentine's afternoon in 1998. It wasn't so much the Hallmark holiday that prompted the date, rather we met through a mutual acquaintance the weekend before.
I just learned that Cassie and Zac also had their first official date on Valentine's Day. Then they ended up getting married 4 1/2 years after that ... just like we did. Our anniversaries are a day (and five years!) apart. I love the similarities.
