his-tory

The Christmas may be an old story. It's history. But it's His story.

While walking through the Live Nativity this weekend, I was thinking about this story and how even a 3-year-old girl can be enthralled in it. She has a Little People nativity. And apparently this was her point of reference as we walked through the Expo Center on Friday evening because she would say, "Like mine at home."

The story involves animals used to transport people.

The story has shepherds, sheep and a really bright star.

And there are camels, which are popular in my house right now.

The story has a king, although he probably didn't wear Adidas sandals.

There are gifts and an angel and a manger.

And, most importantly, there is a precious new baby
who changed a family -- and a world -- forever.

It's a good story, if you ask me. And the best part is that it's true.
