Reading and summer have always be intertwined for me. Now that my kids are both officially swimmers, reading is even more possible at the pool. Although I've been in the water often lately because it's been so summery hot. {That's not a complaint - I love summer!}
We're leaving for the beach on Saturday, so I have new books on my Kindle and plenty more on my Amazon wish list. And here we are, pretty much half way through the year. {I know, it's hard to believe ...} So today seems like a good time to share the books I've so far read this year.
I keep an ongoing list over at Goodreads.

Thrilled to be on your list, friend. And Lisa-Jo's book? Such fine writing, and such beautiful encouragement. So many books on the list here that I love, and some new ones too.
ReplyDeleteI am about to dig into "Atlas Girl" by Emily Wierenga, and Annie Downs' "Let's All Be Brave: Living Life with Everything You Have." I am reading Jean Fleming's book about intentional living a second time (Can't get enough of it). I am nearly done with Spiritual Whitespace by Bonnie Gray. I read a sweet little novella by Liz Curtis Higgs recently that made me smile.
Jennifer - Yours is the one that wrecked my heart the most ... in a good, life-changing way. Yes, Lisa-Jo's book was a good one for my momma soul.
ReplyDeleteI've heard so, so many good things about Spiritual Whitespace and definitely want to read it sometime. I'm curious about the Liz Curtis Higgins novella - may have to add that to my list!
Good to see your pretty face here, friend!
Great list! I am reading Pursue the Intentional Life by Jean Fleming right now, and it is rocking my world. Max Lucado is one of my favorites -- I've started "You'll Get Through This."
ReplyDeleteI've heard Pursue the Intentional Life is a good one. :) I love Max Lucado too - I haven't read You'll Get Through This yet ... adding it to my list now! Good to see you here, Lyli!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Thanks for including me. :) I just finished Rhinestone Jesus and loved it. It's so so so so good. I'm re-reading the Mark of the Lion series right now, and about to start something new... not sure what yet though!
ReplyDeleteI was happy to include you! Rhinestone Jesus is on my list. I needed to take some time off from heart-wrecking books after Love Idol, Chasing God and Restless. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of similar book titles on my reading list too. Unfortunately there is just not enough time to read all the great titles out there!
ReplyDeleteIt's sadly true ... so many good books are out there these days!
